Ron has a diverse background in real estate and business law, with decades of practice. He has represented retailers, both as outside counsel and in-house, on real estate transactions in almost every state, as well as Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico.  These include purchases and sales, (sub)leases, ground leases, financing, retail development, etc., in single and multisite transactions. He also has extensive experience in reviewing business contracts.

Ron graduated with a civil engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and later from The Law School at the University of Chicago. He started his career as a general transactional lawyer with a medium-size firm in Chicago. He later returned home to Philadelphia and became a partner in the real estate department of Fox Rothschild. Following this he embarked on a 15-year in-house career with two national retailers – The Pep Boys – Manny, Moe & Jack, and the Vitamin Shoppe, Inc., where he was Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel. Each company grew by hundreds of stores while he was there.

In 2008, Ron returned to private practice in Philadelphia representing clients in real estate and other transactional matters. Ron joined the firm in 2021 as of counsel and focuses on negotiating leases and the purchase or sale of real estate. He is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and works primarily out of the firm’s Philadelphia office.

Ron relaxes by jogging and walking at the Jersey Shore and biking. He and his wife have three grand-dogs, as well as three children. He is a member of the South of South Neighborhood Association Zoning Committee.
